Responsibilities Perform clothing alterations and repairs on a variety of garments, including men's wear, women's wear, and custom apparel production Use sewing machines, hand sewing techniques, and pressing machines to modify garments with precision and care Operate pressing machines and press operation equipment to achieve crisp finishes and professional presentation Consult with customers to understand their alteration needs and provide expert advice on fabric materials and garment construction Ensure accurate stitching, seam adjustments, hemming, resizing, and other tailoring tasks according to specifications Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to safety standards when handling pressing and sewing equipment Assist in garment fitting sessions, making necessary adjustments for optimal fit and comfort Experience Proven experience in fashion retail or clothing alterations with a strong background in garment sewing and stitching techniques Knowledge of fabric materials, garment construction, and sewing machine operation is essential Skilled in pressing machines, press operation, hand sewing, and basic math for measurements and adjustments Familiarity with men's wear tailoring, women's wear tailoring, and custom apparel production is highly desirable Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join us as an Alterations Tailor where your craftsmanship makes a difference!
