Job Description
Rudolf Steiner School is seeking a Part-Time Sewing Teacher starting September 8, 2026. This position runs all year, from 12:25-1:50, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. From September to December the class is for the 7th grade. From January through June runs the 8th grade. Both classes are split classes, so 8 to 9 students per section. The 7th grade course covers simple pattern making and hand sewing apparel. Slippers have been a good project. A teacher will need to be proficient in these skills. The 8th grade course covers sewing based on pre-made patterns and using sewing machines. The teacher will need to be proficient in this work as well as being comfortable in simple sewing machine repairs.
