Founded by menswear and lifestyle creator Ooreofe Oluwadara, Respoke offers bespoke, made-to-measure, and vintage garments—extending the life of exceptional pieces through expert tailoring and thoughtful reuse. Our curated selection includes never-worn or undelivered bespoke and made-to-measure garments, lightly used custom pieces, and timeless vintage finds. We proudly carry work from respected New York City tailors and designers such as Michael Andrews Bespoke, David Reeves Bespoke, Angel Ramos New York, F.E. Castleberry, and international houses such as Empire Tailors, alongside vintage pieces from Savile Row and other custom brands. Our garments feature cloth from world-renowned mills including Ermenegildo Zegna, Loro Piana, Dormeuil, and Scabal. While our offerings are ever-evolving, our standards for construction, fabric, and fit remain uncompromising. Respoke exists to provide a sustainable alternative to conventional luxury retail—recirculating high-quality garments that might otherwise go unused while preserving craftsmanship and impeccable tailoring. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Tailor specializing in formalwear, suits, and menswear alterations. This role is ideal for someone who understands the structure and craftsmanship behind bespoke and made-to-measure garments and can execute alterations with precision and care. This is a part-time role (approximately 15 hours per week, flexible based on demand). We are looking for someone adaptable with scheduling who can support client fittings and alteration needs as business requires. Key Responsibilities Perform high-quality alterations on suits, jackets, trousers, and formalwear Execute advanced tailoring adjustments including hemming, tapering, waist suppression, sleeve shortening, collar adjustments, and structural refinements Assist with client fittings for bespoke and made-to-measure garments Assess vintage and custom garments to determine best alteration approach while preserving integrity Collaborate with sales and styling team to ensure proper fit and client satisfaction Maintain high craftsmanship standards aligned with luxury tailoring Manage alteration timelines to meet client deadlines Qualifications Proven experience tailoring menswear and formalwear (required) Strong understanding of suit construction and garment structure Experience with Made-to-Measure or Bespoke tailoring strongly preferred High attention to detail and finishing Professional, client-facing demeanor Ability to work independently and manage flexible scheduling
