Measure fabric and materials accurately using measuring instruments to ensure proper fit and dimensions. Cut fabric manually with sharp tools following detailed patterns and specifications to maintain consistency across products. Construct interior and upholstery pieces by sewing seams, attaching trims, and finishing edges according to established garment construction techniques. Handle materials efficiently within the warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage, handling, and movement of fabrics and finished products. Maintain compliance with safety standards in production areas by following proper procedures for machine operation and materials handling. Conduct quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to meet quality standards in production, verifying measurements, stitching integrity, and overall craftsmanship. Requirements Proven experience with interior sewing, upholstery work, or related manufacturing roles. Proficiency in operating sewing machines, serging equipment and other industrial sewing tools. Strong understanding of fabric materials including textiles used in clothing and upholstery projects. Ability to perform manual cutting of fabrics accurately based on detailed patterns or templates. Knowledge of measuring instruments such as rulers, tape measures, and calipers for precise dimensional measurements. Familiarity with quality standards in production environments to ensure consistent product excellence. Experience with materials handling within a warehouse setting is preferred.
