Responsibilities Measure fabric and materials precisely using measuring instruments to ensure accurate garment dimensions Cut fabric manually or with industrial cutting tools following detailed patterns and specifications Operate various sewing machines, including industrial sewing machines and serging equipment, to assemble garments or upholstery pieces Construct garments or upholstery items by sewing seams, attaching components, and applying finishing techniques such as embroidery Maintain quality standards throughout the production process by inspecting stitches, seams, and overall craftsmanship Handle materials carefully to prevent damage and ensure proper storage within the warehouse environment Follow safety standards in production areas to ensure a safe working environment for all team members Use appropriate tools for fabric handling and seam construction while maintaining efficiency Conduct dimensional measurements during different stages of production to verify accuracy Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to sewing or materials handling Requirements Proven experience in garment sewing, upholstery, or related textile manufacturing roles Proficiency in operating sewing machines, serging equipment, and other industrial sewing tools Knowledge of measuring instruments and their application in fabric cutting and garment fitting Understanding of quality standards in production processes for textiles and apparel Familiarity with manual cutting techniques for fabrics of various materials Ability to interpret technical drawings or patterns accurately Experience with fabric materials such as textiles used in clothing or upholstery projects Knowledge of safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents Skills in garment construction, seam construction, and embroidery techniques Warehouse experience is a plus for handling materials efficiently and maintaining organized storage
Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week Application Question(s): This role is completely on-site. Can you work 7am-4pm Monday-Friday? This is a temporary position that will finish in Mid-January. Are you open to a contract role?
