We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bridal Seamstress to join our wedding retail team. In this role, you will work closely with bridal consultants and clients to ensure wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride gowns, and special occasion attire achieve a perfect fit and exceptional appearance. The ideal candidate has experience with garment alterations, formalwear construction, and delicate fabrics such as lace, tulle, satin, and beading. Responsibilities Perform alterations and fittings on bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and special occasion attire. Pin, fit, and adjust garments to achieve a flawless fit for each customer. Execute alterations including hemming, bustle creation, resizing, strap adjustments, zipper replacements, and sleeve modifications. Work with delicate fabrics, lace appliqués, beadwork, and intricate embellishments while preserving garment quality. Operate industrial and standard sewing machines, sergers, and hand-sewing tools. Collaborate with bridal consultants to understand customer needs and alteration timelines. Conduct final quality inspections to ensure all garments meet company standards. Maintain an organized, clean, and professional work area. Meet alteration deadlines during peak wedding seasons while maintaining exceptional workmanship. Qualifications Previous experience as a seamstress, tailor, alterations specialist, or bridal seamstress. Strong knowledge of garment construction and alteration techniques. Experience working with bridal gowns, formalwear, or luxury garments preferred. Ability to work with delicate fabrics including satin, chiffon, lace, tulle, and organza. Excellent hand-sewing and machine-sewing skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with brides and other customers. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment. Preferred Qualifications Bridal or formalwear alteration experience. Experience creating bustles and performing complex gown modifications.
