Responsibilities Perform clothing alterations and repairs with precision, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and resizing garments for optimal fit Construct new garments from scratch, following detailed patterns and specifications for both men's and women's wear tailoring Operate pressing machines and press garments to achieve crisp finishes and professional presentation Use sewing machines and hand sewing techniques to stitch fabrics securely and accurately Select appropriate fabric materials based on garment design, customer preferences, and durability requirements Assist customers by providing expert advice on clothing alterations, fabric care, and garment fit adjustments Maintain a clean, organized workspace with proper handling of sewing tools and equipment Qualifications Proven experience in fashion retail or garment alteration services with a strong understanding of clothing alterations and garment sewing Skilled in using sewing machines, pressing machines, and hand sewing techniques for various fabric materials Knowledge of garment construction principles for both men's wear tailoring and women's wear tailoring Ability to operate pressing machines safely and efficiently while achieving high-quality finishes Familiarity with fabric types, stitching methods, and basic math skills for measurements and pattern adjustments Excellent customer service skills with a friendly approach to client interactions Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines Join us as a Seamstress Tailor and become an essential part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional craftsmanship.
