This role handles production setup from approved embroidery files through finished goods, including machine setup, hooping, thread changes, quality control, and routine equipment care. Primary Responsibilities
  • Operate Tajima multi-head embroidery machines for daily production.
  • Review work orders, approved files, thread colors, garment specifications, quantities, and placement instructions before production.
  • Load production-ready embroidery files and configure the machine for each run.
  • Set thread colors, assign needles, and prepare machines for production.
  • Hoop garments accurately using the appropriate hoops, backing, stabilizers, and placement methods.
  • Perform test sew-outs as needed and verify placement, sizing, thread colors, and overall quality before full production.
  • Monitor machines throughout production and respond to thread breaks, needle breaks, tension issues, registration problems, or garment movement.
  • Make basic machine and production adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Inspect completed garments for accuracy, placement, and embroidery quality.
  • Trim excess backing and thread and complete other finishing tasks as required.
  • Track production quantities and completed work accurately.
  • Keep machines, workstations, tools, thread, and supplies clean and organized.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on embroidery equipment.
  • Communicate production issues, equipment concerns, file problems, or material shortages to the appropriate team member.
  • Assist with other production tasks as needed to help the team meet deadlines and production goals. Qualifications
  • Previous commercial embroidery machine experience preferred.
  • Experience with Tajima embroidery equipment strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of hooping, stabilizers, thread selection, garment placement, and basic embroidery machine adjustments preferred.
  • Ability to read production work orders and follow detailed instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with placement, thread colors, quantities, and quality.
  • Ability to recognize embroidery quality issues and troubleshoot basic production problems.
  • Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to manage multiple jobs and priorities throughout the day.
  • Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a team-oriented production environment. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent repetitive use of hands and arms for hooping, loading, trimming, and handling garments.
  • Regular bending, reaching, and movement throughout the production area.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry boxes, garments, and production materials up to approximately 40-50 pounds when necessary.
