Duties Perform clothing alterations and repairs to ensure perfect fit and finish for both men's and women's wear Construct garments from scratch using sewing machines, hand sewing techniques, and garment construction skills Operate pressing machines and press garments to achieve crisp seams and professional presentation Use fabric materials knowledge to select appropriate textiles for various clothing items Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions Measure clients accurately, applying basic math skills to determine necessary adjustments or customizations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tailoring workspace, including sewing stations and pressing areas Skills Proven experience in fashion retail tailoring or clothing alterations Strong knowledge of garment sewing, stitching techniques, and garment construction processes Ability to operate sewing machines, pressing machines, and press operation equipment efficiently Skilled in hand sewing for detailed or delicate work requiring precision Familiarity with fabric materials to select appropriate textiles for different garments Expertise in men's wear tailoring, women's wear tailoring, and custom apparel production Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Basic math skills for measurements, pattern adjustments, and calculations during alterations Embark on a rewarding career where your craftsmanship transforms everyday clothing into personalized masterpieces.
