JOB SUMMARY
The Home Staging Designer is responsible for leading our team's home staging services from concept to installation, while providing valuable assistance on full-scale staging design projects. The Home Staging Designer is creative, a problem solver and has experience being hands.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Curate and Install standard "Meridith Baer" look along with one or two other design "styles" using existing inventory from the warehouse as well as custom pieces as applicable per MBH processes and procedures.
  • Communicate with homeowner/broker and Meridith Baer Account Executive to identify customer needs for the home.
  • Be able to identify budget appropriate furnishings for the home.
  • Be knowledgeable about furniture production and be able to order and track custom production pieces.
  • Submit Designer Debrief for each job identifying issues with install/inventory or needs for move outs.
  • Maintain FileMaker inventory system for inventory control and job price lists.
  • Help facilitate sales of furniture staged in homes.
  • Other duties as needed include travel as required.
  • Consistently deliver top level design appropriate for the home and budget.
  • Establish flexibility and proficiency in multiple styles and aesthetics.
  • Work efficiently in preparations and installs to minimize crew overtime.
  • Listen to the homeowner /broker to deliver the requested design.
  • Submit a Design Debrief for each job, identifying issues with install/inventory or needs for move outs.
  • Communicate clearly with the sales team to ensure client expectations are continually exceeded.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design highly preferred or equivalent work experience
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 3+ Years' experience in real estate, staging, or design.
  • Must be personable and engaging.
  • Possess determination and initiative.
  • Must be articulate and diplomatic with a consistent positive outlook.
  • Able to work in multiple locations
  • and the ability to work in the warehouse and staged homes.
  • Proven time and project management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and to multi-task.
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to work with different types of personnel.
  • Have basic computer skills
  • Gmail, Google Drive (important for designers), Google Photos (very important for Designers), Google calendar, etc.
