Do:
You'll perform all aspects of sewing associated with production of various boat model types of cushions, v-berth beds, etc. May include pattern cutting.
Responsibilities:
Able to read and understand work instructions Able to meet production deadlines and stay on task Able to maintain sewing machine Know how to change needle, bobbin and adjust machine tension, etc. Learn all boat part names and how to read travelers Learn all colors of vinyl and threads Learn to sew flat pieces and comforters using double top stitch, single top stitch and zippers Learn how to sew all boat parts Learn how to repair sewn covers Willingness to cross-train and learn other areas with a good attitude Other duties as assigned What you
Bring:
Minimum 1 year sewing experience with upholstery High school diploma or GED preferred. Manual dexterity Basic knowledge of hand tools Attention to details, deadline oriented and organized Basic math skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good attendance and good attitude needed
Physical Requirements:
Including, but not limited to: climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs. stretching, squatting and bending. May work on knees, seated, laying down, standing up.
