  • 3:30 PM Industry manufacturing & production (Production Occupations) Reference number S_178862 Spherion is looking for an experienced Industrial Sewer in Elkhart, IN!
The Industrial Sewer is responsible for ensuring the high quality and safety of restraint systems, requiring precision, attention to detail, and expertise in industrial sewing. 1st shift: 5am-3:30pm (Monday through Thursday) OT possible on Fridays. Pay $20/hr + $1/hr with perfect attendance (paid on a weekly basis).
Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy-duty industrial sewing machines to assemble specialized restraint components and safety equipment.
  • Interpret and follow technical drawings and work specifications to ensure all products meet exact engineering standards.
  • Conduct frequent visual inspections of stitching and materials to identify defects and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Utilize tape measures and other measuring instruments to ensure components are aligned and sized correctly before and after sewing.
  • Manage and organize various textiles and hardware components required for the assembly process.
  • Adhere to all safe work practices and maintain an organized, clean workspace to ensure a productive environment.

Education:
No Degree Required Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a sewer in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably working with heavy-duty materials.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately.
