Industrial Sewer Job Description:
A well-established manufacturer of upholstered furniture components for the office, auditorium, and education sectors is seeking an industrial sewing professional. Known for quality production and employee dedication over three decades, this organization values skilled and dependable employees.
Position Details:
Full Time, First Shift:
6:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM - 12:30 PM Friday $22 / hour starting, up to $27 / hour commensurate experience English as a second language welcome
Responsibilities:
Sew pre-cut fabric, vinyl, or non-woven materials according to pattern specifications Operate and maintain sewing machines, including setup changes Monitor and uphold quality standards, ensuring products meet specifications Layout and mark patterns on materials; use scissors or electric knives to cut Complete documentation accurately by reading, counting, and writing Communicate product, material, or process issues to Engineering Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Requirements:
Previous industrial sewing experience, preferably in upholstery manufacturing Comfortable with physical tasks for extended periods Able to follow written instructions and understand processes; read and interpret production orders Willingness to work both independently and as part of a team High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and physical Adhere to company safety guidelines
