In this role, you will be responsible for restoring, repairing, and customizing furniture pieces with precision and craftsmanship. Your expertise will ensure that each item meets our quality standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in upholstery techniques, hand tools, sewing, and furniture assembly, contributing to the creation of beautiful, durable furniture pieces. Duties Measure, cut, and sew upholstery fabric using sewing machines and hand tools to fit various furniture pieces accurately. Repair or replace damaged upholstery components, including springs, padding, and fabric coverings. Operate power tools safely to disassemble and reassemble furniture frames during restoration or assembly processes. Use hand tools such as staple guns, tack pullers, and screwdrivers to secure upholstery materials effectively. Assist in the assembly of furniture components ensuring proper alignment and finishing details. Conduct auto restoration tasks on vintage or antique furniture pieces requiring specialized upholstery techniques. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Collaborate with design teams or clients to select appropriate fabrics, colors, and finishes for custom projects. Inspect finished products thoroughly to ensure quality standards are met before delivery or installation. Experience Proven experience as a Furniture Upholsterer or similar role within manufacturing or restoration environments. Proficiency with hand tools, sewing machines, and power tools used in upholstery work. Strong knowledge of sewing techniques specific to upholstery applications. Experience with auto restoration is a plus, demonstrating versatility in handling different types of furniture projects. Ability to interpret technical drawings or project specifications accurately. Familiarity with assembly processes related to furniture manufacturing. Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong manual dexterity. Prior experience working with various fabrics, padding materials, and finishing techniques is highly desirable.
