Composite Laminator Denver, North Carolina Jones Networking is recruiting a Composite Laminator to join a precision manufacturing company in Denver, NC that produces high-quality composite components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with pre-preg composite materials and be comfortable independently completing layup and bagging operations from start to finish.
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity with significant growth options. Transferable Experience Candidates without formal composite-laminating experience may also be considered if they have strong hands-on experience working with flexible materials. Backgrounds such as sewing, upholstery, garment manufacturing, sailmaking, or other material-based production environments can provide valuable transferable skills, particularly an understanding of material drape, cutting, fit, and crease elimination.
Composite Laminator Responsibilities:
- Read, interpret, and execute composite layup schedules accurately.
- Perform composite layups using pre-preg materials.
- Cut, position, and manipulate composite materials to meet required ply orientation and part geometry.
- Identify and eliminate wrinkles, bridging, creases, and other layup defects.
- Laminate parts independently according to established processes and specifications.
- Perform vacuum bagging operations and prepare parts for processing.
- Inspect completed layups for quality and conformance to requirements.
- Maintain accurate material identification and traceability.
- Follow established manufacturing procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work independently while meeting production schedules and quality expectations.
Composite Laminator Requirements:
- 1+ year of composite laminating experience preferred
- Experience in a production pre-preg composite manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and comprehend layup schedules and technical manufacturing instructions.
- Demonstrated ability to complete laminate layups and vacuum bagging independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good hand skills and the ability to work with flexible materials and complex shapes.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
