Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Furniture Upholsterer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw furniture components into beautifully finished pieces by applying expert upholstery techniques. Your craftsmanship will ensure each item meets high standards of quality, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Responsibilities Reupholster furniture using various upholstery techniques, ensuring precise fitting and finishing. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications to accurately execute projects. Cut fabric materials manually with precision, selecting appropriate textiles based on project requirements. Repair and maintain upholstery on existing furniture pieces, restoring them to optimal condition. Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, sewing machines, and power tools safely and effectively during fabrication and repair processes. Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture components to facilitate assembly or reupholstering tasks. Collaborate with the design team to interpret style specifications and ensure finished products meet aesthetic standards. Qualifications Proven experience in upholstery work, including reupholstering and repairing furniture. Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality craftsmanship. Proficiency in using hand tools, sewing machines, pneumatic tools, and power tools. Knowledge of fabric materials such as leather and textiles suitable for upholstery projects. Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately. Experience with woodworking or assembly is a plus for custom furniture projects.
