Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Vinyl and/or Part Sewers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with vinyl materials, using sewing machines to create high-quality, durable products such as upholstery, covers, or other vinyl goods. The role requires attention to detail, precision, and an understanding of the specific techniques for working with vinyl. For Vinyl Sewers Pay starts at $20 an hour during 30-day training. After training period, the position will transition to piece work earning anywhere from $600-$1000 a week. Parts Sewers Pay Starts at $15.30 with and additional $1.00 attendance bonus after 90 days.
Responsibilities:
Operate sewing machines to stitch vinyl materials for various products (e.g., spa covers, tarps, cushions, spa cover upholstery, etc.). Measure and cut vinyl materials to specific dimensions. Follow technical drawings and specifications to ensure the accurate construction of items. Ensure the sewing machine is properly set up, adjusted, and maintained for optimal performance. Inspect completed products for quality and make necessary adjustments. Repair or alter vinyl items as needed, ensuring they meet quality standards. Use proper techniques to handle vinyl to prevent damage, warping, or distortion. Work with different types of thread and needles suitable for vinyl. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and machines are properly stored and maintained. Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects. Adhere to safety and manufacturing protocols at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational training in sewing is a plus). Proven experience working with vinyl or similar materials in a sewing or upholstery environment. Strong knowledge of operating industrial sewing machines (Juki). Ability to read and follow patterns, drawings, and specifications. Attention to detail and high standards of craftsmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Physical ability to lift and move materials as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with heavy-duty sewing machines. Knowledge of different vinyl materials Familiarity with repair techniques for vinyl products.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced environment with deadlines. Standing or sitting for long periods. Safety gear may be required depending on the work environment.
