Job Description

Smithers Animal Hospital is currently seeking a qualified, driven veterinary technician assistant to deliver excellent client and patient care. We are a mixed animal veterinary clinic that has an enthusiastic and compassionate team ready to respond to the growing needs of West Fork and the surrounding areas of NWA! We provide comprehensive medical and surgical services. We are open Monday-Friday 7:30-5:30 PM (Friday closed at 5:00 PM). Weekend kennels (approximately 1-2 hour shifts AM and PM) are required on an alternating basis. Requirements Must be able to communicate well with others. Must have a TEAM attitude and be willing to help other staff in working towards a goal of excellent patient and client care. Record keeping along with be able to effectively take patient histories and record those into patient chart. General technical skills
  • injections, venipuncture, IV catheterization, medication administration, assisting in ultrasound and radiography Must enjoy working with both people and animals.
Must show compassion to both patients and clients.
Veterinary Experience:
1 year+ preferred Veterinary Assistants are encouraged to apply. Preferred Education
