Job Description
Pay rates based on experience. Busy, small animal veterinary hospital in Carlsbad looking for a full or part time Veterinary Assistant. Job duties include assisting doctors and techs, animal restraint, nail trims, anal gland expressions, radiographs, venipuncture and administering vaccines and injections. Training in other categories considered based on performance. Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs. This job does include client interactions and answering phones. Full time benefits include vacation and sick days and discounts for employee pets, after 90 days of employment. Health, dental and vision insurance options available after 60 days of employment. Additional benefits to be discussed at time of interview. Veterinary Experience preferred. Experience with Avimark veterinary software is a plus. Must have a positive, fun attitude and be dependable.
