The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to animals in a veterinary clinic or kennel environment. This role requires a strong understanding of animal behavior, handling techniques, and basic veterinary practices. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercise. Maintain cleanliness and organization of animal housing areas Assist in administering medications as directed by veterinary staff. Utilize proper animal restraint techniques during examinations and treatments. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary personnel. Assist with record keeping, including documenting animal health information and treatment plans. Support kennel staff with basic procedures and client interactions as needed. Qualifications Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and medication administration is a plus. Strong animal handling skills, including experience with dog handling and animal restraint methods. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail. Compassionate attitude towards animals and commitment to their welfare. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
