Responsibilities Assist veterinary staff with animal handling, restraint, and care during examinations, treatments, and surgeries Support veterinary technicians with procedures such as IV insertions, catheterizations, medication administration, and animal husbandry tasks Maintain cleanliness of the clinic by disinfecting kennels, treatment areas, surgical suites, and equipment in accordance with safety protocols and PPE use Manage front desk duties including client check-in/out, appointment scheduling, record keeping, and answering client inquiries with professionalism Provide pet care advice to clients regarding animal behavior, nutrition, and welfare to enhance overall pet health Help monitor animals' vital signs and behavior during hospital stays or procedures to ensure their safety and comfort Ensure compliance with veterinary terminology standards and maintain accurate medical records for each patient Requirements Previous kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience is highly preferred Knowledge of animal handling techniques for dogs, cats, and equine species is essential Experience with surgical support tasks such as anesthesia monitoring or assisting with surgeries is a plus Ability to perform cleaning duties diligently to uphold hygiene standards in all areas of the clinic Familiarity with veterinary terminology, record keeping systems, and medication protocols is advantageous Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Demonstrated understanding of animal physiology, anatomy knowledge, and animal behavior patterns Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety protocols This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about animal welfare who want to develop their expertise in veterinary medicine while providing outstanding service to pet owners.
