We're looking for a caring, dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team and help us deliver an exceptional experience for every patient and pet parent who walks through our doors. About the Role As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll work alongside our veterinarians and veterinary technicians to provide hands-on patient care, support daily hospital operations, and help create a calm, welcoming environment for pets and their owners. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about animal care who wants to grow their skills in a supportive clinical setting. Responsibilities Restrain and comfort animals during exams, treatments, and procedures Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, vaccinations, and minor procedures Prepare exam rooms and surgical suites; clean and sterilize instruments and equipment Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery Collect samples (blood, urine, fecal) and assist with basic lab work Maintain accurate patient records and update charts Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff Keep kennels, exam rooms, and treatment areas clean and sanitized Help with patient intake, discharge instructions, and client communication Support front-desk and phone coverage as needed Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, animal shelter, or related animal care setting preferred (not required) Genuine love for animals and comfort handling dogs and cats of all temperaments Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment Physical ability to lift 30+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and assist with restraining animals Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant certification a plus, but not required Schedule Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM How to Apply Apply directly through Indeed, or send your resume to
