Hospitalization/Floor Schedule:
Full-Time | 4 x 10-hour shifts (Friday-Monday)
Pay:
Up to $26.00/hour , based on experience Rocklin Ranch Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant with a valid Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VASCP) or someone eligible to renew their permit to join our Hospitalization team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled veterinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with hospitalized and urgent care patients. What You'll Do Monitor and care for hospitalized patients Perform patient triage and assist with urgent care cases Obtain blood samples, including confident jugular venipuncture Place intravenous (IV) catheters Perform cystocentesis Monitor anesthesia and sedated patients Assist with patient recovery and ongoing treatments Work collaboratively with veterinarians and the medical team to provide exceptional patient care Maintain accurate medical records and ensure high standards of patient safety Qualifications/Proficient in: Current VASCP or eligible to renew Experience in a general practice, urgent care, or emergency veterinary setting CPR Patient triage Jugular blood draws IV catheter placement Cystocentesis Anesthetic monitoring Sedation protocols Hospitalized patient care Experience with Constant Rate Infusions (CRIs) is preferred but not required Strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Benefits Competitive pay up to $26.00/hour Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off Paid Holidays CE opportunities Employee pet care discounts Supportive team environment with opportunities for continued growth and development If you're passionate about providing exceptional patient care and are looking to join a collaborative, team-oriented hospital, we'd love to hear from you!
