As a Skilled Veterinary Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced emergency veterinarians and Registered Veterinary Technicians providing exceptional care for critically ill and injured patients. In Your Day-to-Day, You Will Triage incoming emergency patients and support clients throughout their hospital experience. Assist veterinarians with patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures. Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates. Operate and assist with diagnostic imaging for patient evaluation. Administer, monitor, and recover patients undergoing sedation and anesthesia. Assist with minor surgical (non-specialty) procedures. Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes in patient condition. Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation. Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams. Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture. What You Bring Minimum of two years of clinical experience in an animal hospital. Proficiency with laboratory sample processing and basic radiographic techniques. Strong technical nursing skills, including patient handling and restraint. Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills. Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Positive attitude, professionalism, reliability, and adaptability. Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
