Why Our Kennel Attendants Love It Here A team built around a "better together" philosophy A predictable five-day schedule with Sundays off Leadership that values your ideas and contributions Weekly and monthly meetings that encourage open communication and collaboration Mentoring and support as you build your veterinary career Opportunities to strengthen your animal-handling and patient-care skills The chance to make a meaningful difference for pets every day Occasional coffee runs and meals on us An always-stocked fridge with drinks and snacks A supportive team that values life outside the hospital What Our Kennel Attendants Do Provide daily care for hospitalized patients, including feeding, watering, grooming, exercising, and monitoring their well-being Safely handle and restrain animals as appropriate Observe patient behavior and promptly report concerns to the veterinary team Administer non-controlled medications, supplements, or treatments as directed and permitted by hospital policy Communicate professionally with clients and team members in person, by phone, text, and email Provide compassionate and courteous service that supports a positive client experience Clean and maintain kennels, cages, exam rooms, treatment areas, and hospital equipment Assist with laundry, sanitation, stocking, inventory organization, and general hospital upkeep Maintain accurate documentation and records Follow hospital safety, infection-prevention, and OSHA protocols Complete required training and maintain applicable certifications Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment What You'll Bring Comfort and confidence safely handling animals in a veterinary environment A genuine commitment to animal welfare and patient safety Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail A dependable, positive, and team-focused approach Confidence to own your responsibilities while knowing when to ask for help An eagerness to learn and grow within veterinary medicine A willingness to jump in wherever support is needed A commitment to teamwork, mutual respect, and high-quality patient care The Extras You'll Actually Feel This is a hands-on role where your work has a direct impact on the comfort and well-being of our patients.
