Job Description

RVT/VETERINARY ASSISTANT

Well established Veterinary Clinic in Scotts Valley has an opening for an RVT (preferably with 1 year experience) or an experienced veterinary technician with at least 2-3 years of experience required. We are a 2 doctor small animal practice. Our team is enthusiastic and love working with our clients and patients. We are looking for candidates who are interested in veterinary medicine, have a positive attitude, are able to learn new skills quickly, and have an excellent work ethic. Computer literacy a must and multi-tasking required. Able to carry out tasks, verbal and written. Experience in medical record entry and diagnostic documentation. Must be skilled in blood draws and IV catheterization. Comfortable handling and safely restraining cats and dogs. Strong knowledge of diagnostic procedures, including using in-hospital laboratory equipment. Candidate must have excellent communication, organizational, and technical skills. Starting salary based on experience.
