Veterinary Assistant - URGENT CARE UrgentPaws Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks, CA Job Details Full-time $20 - $23 an hour 20 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Uniform allowance Vision insurance 401(k) matching Employee discount Qualifications Pet care Teamwork Urgent care Animal husbandry Medical terminology Full Job Description About Us UrgentPaws is a privately held veterinary urgent care focused on non-life-theatening illnesses and injuries Open Weekdays from 3p-11p, Weekends and Holidays 10a-8p No overnights or on-call shifts Online booking and walk-in model Visit us at UrgentPaws.com Key Responsibilities & Clinical Duties Greet, educate and support clients from arrival to discharge Assist with animal handling, administration of medications, husbandry and nursing care Perform diagnostic radiographs, collect and process lab samples for analysis Support the veterinarian and RVTs to provide efficient, high-quality patient care Desired Qualifications & Skillsets Basic knowledge of veterinary medical and surgical terminology and techniques Willing commitment to foster a confidence-building, collaborative work environment Disciplined mindset with an eagerness to participate on the clinic floor Friendly, proactive and helpful personality Mature communication skills, both with clients and within the team
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary:
