Responsibilities Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with animal handling, restraint, and care during examinations, treatments, and surgeries Perform kennel duties including cleaning, feeding, and monitoring animals' health and behavior to ensure their comfort and safety Support veterinary procedures such as IV insertions, catheterizations, medication administration, and surgical preparations Maintain accurate record keeping of patient histories, treatments, medications, and procedures in compliance with clinic protocols Communicate effectively with pet owners to provide instructions on pet care, medication schedules, and follow-up appointments Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the clinic by disinfecting surfaces, sterilizing equipment, and managing animal husbandry tasks Skills Previous kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience demonstrating familiarity with animal handling and husbandry practices Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior to assist in clinical tasks Experience with front desk duties including client communication, appointment scheduling, and record management Ability to handle dogs confidently and safely using proper restraint techniques; experience with equine handling is a plus Skilled in cleaning protocols necessary for maintaining a sterile environment in surgical or treatment areas Proficient in performing IV insertions, administering medications, and catheterizations under supervision Strong understanding of animal welfare principles and commitment to ensuring the best care for all animals This role offers an exciting chance to grow your skills in a supportive environment dedicated to excellence in veterinary medicine. Pay:
