Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, works well in a fast-paced environment, and values teamwork. This role plays a key part in supporting our veterinarians, providing high-quality medical care to our patients, and delivering excellent service to our clients. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures Communicate with pet owners to gather detailed medical histories and ensure clear understanding of patient needs Prepare animals for examinations, treatments, and surgeries by applying proper techniques Support veterinary staff during diagnostics such as X-ray imaging, laboratory testing, and dental procedures using veterinary terminology and proper techniques Conduct animal catheterization, administer medications, and monitor vital signs during critical care situations Maintain accurate records of animal physiology, anatomy, and treatment plans while adhering to veterinary critical care protocols Collect and prepare laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, etc.) Ensure cleanliness and organization of treatment and surgical areas Support pet owners with education on pet care Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required Prior veterinary technician or assistant experience preferred Knowledge of veterinary terminology and laboratory procedures Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of animal handling and restraint techniques Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and educate pet owners about animal care practices Strong teamwork skills Open availability is preferred; must be available to work alternating
