We pride ourselves on providing the best care to our patients and customer service to our clients. We are looking for a detail-oriented, motivated, outgoing and compassionate team-player to join our team!
Requirements:
Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a Veterinary Assistant. Some knowledge of heart-worm prevention, flea and tick prevention, and basic vaccine protocols Must have the ability to multitask as well as work individually Strong organization skills and attention to detail A positive attitude and the ability to communicate Intermediate/advanced computer skills. Our practice is 100% paperless. Available to work Saturdays and holidays when needed. Able to lift up to 25 lbs. Good time management.
Responsibilities include:
Answering phones and scheduling appointments Taking X-rays of animals Places catheters and obtains blood for testing. Make outbound phone calls for updates and reminders. Cleaning and maintenance of the clinic. Assisting Doctors in the treatment room. Restraining pets during exams, nail trims, ear cleanings, etc. Administering medications and vaccines prescribed by a veterinarian , filling prescriptions. Walking patients in and out of building
