Animal Cancer Care Clinic is dedicated exclusively to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer in animals. With seven locations across Florida, our full-service wellness center in Fort Lauderdale provides comprehensive care, including medical oncology, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, surgical oncology, and clinical trials.Job Description:
We are currently looking for a full-time, veterinary assistant technician to support our Medical Oncologists in our Fort Lauderdale location. The assistant technician is an integral part of the veterinary team. They assist the technicians and doctors throughout the examination, diagnosis and treatment phases. They assist the technicians and veterinarians in achieving greater efficiency by relieving them of technical work and administrative detail. Key Responsibilities forVeterinary Assistant Technician:
Restraining animals during procedures. Cleaning and disinfecting cages, kennels, and examination rooms. Washing and drying hospital laundry. Performing TPR's when needed. Recording information in the patient record. Assisting the nurses in obtaining needed biologic samples. This may include performing venipuncture under supervision. Assisting in the placement of IV catheters or place IV catheters under supervision. Assisting in IV administration of drugs. Assisting in giving medications under supervision. Qualifications forVeterinary Assistant Technician:
High school diploma or equivalent is required. 1 year experience as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred.Benefits:
