We are a group of veterinary professionals dedicated to exceptional patient and client care, with a strong emphasis on creating positive experiences—regardless of outcome. Our Veterinary Nurse Assistants are essential to the daily success of our hospital. Requirements:
Ability to competently speak and write in English Strong money-handling and basic clerical skills Ability to efficiently perform cleaning, clerical, and personalized pet care duties Knowledge of safe and compassionate animal restraint practices Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and move for prolonged periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Commitment to following all hospital safety requirements Professional, positive demeanor with staff, clients, and guests
Key Responsibilities:
Safely and compassionately restrain animals during exams, radiographs, and procedures Provide calm, respectful, and patient-focused care, including with fearful or fractious animals Take patient vital signs and assist with vaccine and laboratory preparation Set up and assist with in-house laboratory procedures, including: Fecal flotations Heartworm testing Skin scrapings Urinalysis Ear cytology Fungal cultures Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary facility at all times Clean, prepare, and maintain surgical and dental suites, equipment, and packs Maintain medical equipment per manufacturer guidelines Complete daily, weekly, and monthly facility tasks including laundry, trash disposal, and sanitation Assist with inventory of medications and medical supplies Support the team with additional duties to ensure smooth hospital operations and excellent patient care
