Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our hospital. We are a family-owned private practice. We are open Monday through Saturday and would prefer candidates that are available for Saturday shifts. Two years' experience or Licensed Technician is preferred. However, we are happy to support training and professional development. Our technicians are an integral part of our hospital team. We provide a wide range of services including dentistry, routine surgery, radiology, emergency care, wellness and vaccination exams, and more. The ideal candidate would have experience in aminal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, with a passion for improving lives of pets and their owners. Ability to educate and communicate with clients is crucial for outstanding patient care. Qualifications Kind, respectful, and exhibits leadership qualities Innovating, adaptive and responsive Loyal, Passionate about pets, and good with people Team Player Strong Communicator Minimum 2 years of experience Current Georgia State Licensed Technician Preferred Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures. Safely handle animals using proper restraint techniques for examinations or procedures. Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses. Take and develop X-ray images, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under veterinarian supervision while monitoring animal responses. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records. Help keep exam rooms, treatment area, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready. Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times. •Salary based on experience and skill

$12.00 - $20.00 per hour
