Veterinary Assistant Job Description

—until cleanliness is quick and superb, there is no time to learn anything else Clock in by 8:00 AM Report to Sr. staff Assist with animal care, including but not limited to...basic husbandry, handling, restraint, feeding, walking, bathing, taking vital signs. Restock rooms Assist in surgery, as directed, Qualifications Correct verb conjugation, spelling, penmanship, and extreme attention to details is imperative. Veterinary experience is preferred. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, or the ability to QUICKLY learn terminolgy with correct spelling and pronunciation is important. Proficient in animal handling and pet care is preferred. Familiarity with animal physiology and anatomy will become expected. Experience in medication administration and animal restraint wil quickly become expected. Background in kennel operations and animal husbandry is expected. Ability to assist in veterinary critical care and laboratory procedures will be learned. Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or as a veterinary assistant is preferred
