Duties Provide attentive animal handling and restraint during treatments to ensure safety for both animals and staff Assist with kennel cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and infection control Support veterinary technicians and veterinarians with medication administration and other clinical tasks as needed Monitor animals' behavior and condition, reporting any concerns promptly to the veterinary team Maintain accurate record keeping of animal treatments, behaviors, and kennel logs in compliance with clinic protocols Help with pet care activities including feeding, bathing, grooming, and exercise to promote comfort and well-being Communicate effectively with clients at the front desk regarding pet care instructions, appointment scheduling, and follow-up needs while demonstrating excellent customer service skills Experience Prior kennel or animal handling experience is highly preferred; experience in veterinary clinics or animal shelters is a plus Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and behavior enhances your ability to support clinical procedures effectively Hands-on experience with dog handling, animal restraint techniques, medication administration, and basic surgical support is desirable Familiarity with cleaning protocols, PPE use (personal protective equipment), record keeping systems, and client communication skills is beneficial A strong foundation in animal husbandry practices combined with a passion for animal welfare will set you up for success in this role Join us in providing compassionate care that makes a real difference!
