Overview The Ringgold Animal Hospital has an immediate opening for a veterinary assistant. As this is primarily an exam room assistant position with lots of client interaction, the successful applicant is outgoing, has a professional appearance, and has a minimum of 1 year of recent full time (or equivalent) experience as a veterinary assistant or technician in a general small animal practice. The clinic has been paperless since opening and computer competency is a must and proficiency in Avimark is a big plus. Starting pay is 18.00 to 21.00 per hour, based upon experience and previous employer recommendations. Full time employees receive paid holidays after 1 month and may elect to participate in a health insurance plan (of which the clinic pays 85% of premium) upon completion of a three month probationary period. Paid time off begins after one year of full time employment. We are a progressive small (2 doctor) AAHA certified small animal practice. We offer medical and surgical services only, i.e., no grooming or boarding. The clinic is open MTTF from 8:30 to 5:30 and Sat from 8:30-1:30. Weekly hours for the position are all weekdays we're open and every other Saturday.
