Overview:

Prior experience in veterinary clinics, stables, or kennel work is highly valued. This position involves hands-on animal care, assisting Dr. Carlson with medical treatments, surgeries and procedures and maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment. Call 712-258-9325 to set up an interview with Dr. Carlson Duties Observing animals' behavior and condition Helping with physical exams of patients Restraining animals during exams or procedures Assisting with surgeries, running lab tests, taking and processing x-rays, performing dental cleanings, updating patient records, cleaning and sterilizing equipment, and filling prescriptions. Administering medications, vaccines, and treatments prescribed by the veterinarian Answer phones and provide excellent customer care and compassionate service as needed Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our staff, animals and visitors
