In this energetic role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians by handling animals, assisting with medical procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment, assisting in clerical tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in animal handling, veterinary procedures, and client communication while making a positive difference in the lives of pets and their owners. We are a family-owned and operated 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital for pets. We are building an exception team and looking for people that are a good fit in this amazing team. Responsibilities Assist with animal restraint, handling, and pet care to ensure safety and comfort during examinations and procedures Support veterinary technicians with tasks such as IV insertion, medication administration, catheterization, and aseptic techniques Maintain cleanliness of the clinic by performing thorough cleaning, sanitation, and equipment sterilization in accordance with veterinary standards Help with laboratory work, record keeping, and managing patient files to ensure accurate documentation of treatments and procedures Communicate effectively with clients about pet care instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up needs to foster trust and understanding Support surgical procedures by preparing instruments, assisting during operations, and monitoring animal anesthesia under supervision Handle animals exhibiting diverse behaviors using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets, staff, and clients Many different hospital department and roles available. Experience Previous kennel experience or animal handling background preferred but not required; training will be provided for those eager to learn Experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital setting is highly valued Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and welfare practices is advantageous Hands-on experience with pet care routines including medication administration, laboratory procedures, or critical care is a plus Strong communication skills for engaging with clients confidently and professionally Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting animals, standing for extended periods, and maintaining a clean work environment This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about animal health who want to grow their expertise in a dynamic veterinary setting.
