Job Description
Very busy animal hospital in Gambrills is seeking a Full time (40 hours +) Veterinary Nurse to start immediately. Must have at least 6 months experience and must be comfortable with all aspects of the position. This includes (but is not limited to) drawing blood, taking xrays, running diagnostics, assisting doctors with examinations/procedures, applying bandages and assisting with emergency procedures. The applicant does not need to be Certified. We are willing to train the right individual as long as they have a strong foundation to build upon. Applicant should have excellent communication skills, be able to take direction from the doctors and should have the ability to learn from others while taking constructive critique when necessary. They should be dependable and flexible, team oriented and have the ability to multi-task and keep their cool in an extremely fast paced and sometimes stressful environment. The ideal applicant must be available to work varying shifts which include mornings, evenings and Saturdays. Applicant must be available to work Wednesday's and Saturdays.
