Job Description
Veterinary Technician Assistant Join Our Veterinary Team! We are seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistants to join our privately owned small animal veterinary practices in Queenstown, MD and Annapolis, MD. We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented individual who enjoys working with animals and providing excellent patient care. The Ideal Candidate At least 1 year of veterinary experience in a clinical setting Comfortable handling dogs and cats safely and compassionately Reliable, responsible, and able to work well as part of a team Strong communication and organizational skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Willing to learn and take direction from veterinarians and veterinary technicians Professional, positive attitude with excellent client and patient service skills Responsibilities Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with appointments and procedures Safely restrain and handle patients Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas Assist with patient intake and discharge Obtain and record patient weights and basic history information Clean and disinfect kennels, treatment areas, and equipment Assist with laboratory samples and basic in-house diagnostics Provide general patient care, including monitoring hospitalized patients Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment Provide compassionate care to patients and their owners What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Supportive, collaborative team environment Opportunities for continued learning and professional development Health, dental, vision and short/long-term disability insurance PTO Simple IRA with employer matching Pet benefits A privately owned practice where your contributions are valued The opportunity to work alongside experienced veterinary professionals who are committed to excellent patient care If You Are...
