We are excited to welcome a part-time (15-25 hours per week) Kennel Technician to work afternoons from 1pm - 5pm. "One of the most knowledgeable and trusted vets in SW Michigan." As a Kennel Technician at RAAC you will provide compassionate daily care for boarding and hospitalized pets by feeding, cleaning kennels, exercising animals, monitoring their health and behavior, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, and supporting the veterinary team to ensure every patient is safe, comfortable, and well cared for. This role is ideal for students, retirees, or anyone seeking part-time afternoon hours while making a meaningful difference in the lives of animals.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Previous experience in both a veterinary and customer service setting A strong understanding of animal anatomy and veterinary terminology Experience administering medications via IV, subcutaneous, and oral routes A commitment to maintaining exceptional cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hospital Working knowledge of DEA and OSHA regulations and compliance Proficiency using veterinary practice management software, DaySmart Vetter The ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient in a fast-paced environment Experience with administrative and clerical responsibilities Excellent communication, multitasking, organization, and problem-solving skills A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-first mindset with a willingness to help wherever needed The ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and remain on your feet for extended periods "Phenomenally friendly staff and veterinarian" Google client review RAAC fosters a supportive, collaborative workplace where team members are encouraged to grow.
