Veterinary Nurse/Technician

We are constantly working to improve the experiences of our patients, clients, and team. This role's day to day has broad responsibilities but the core job description is assisting the veterinarians in patient care by: taking histories & caring for our patients for both appointments and hospitalization; hands-on physical exam assistance; completion of radiograph and ultrasound imaging; running diagnostic laboratory tests; filling medications, venipuncture/drawing blood and IV catheter placement; creating and discussing treatment plans with owners; discharging patients; and constant hands on care and lovin' for animals. And everyone helps clean! Must enjoy working with others who love veterinary medicine and an interest in both self education and sharing knowledge! We teach and empower capable veterinary assistants here. We do a lot of cross training for our team members. Our hospital used to be open 8am-8pm and we may transition over time to three 12 hour shifts, but not anytime soon. We are open 8am-5pm and everyone works 7:45-close, 4 days a week for full time, and every other Saturday (short day

Pay:

$15.00

• $19.00 per hour
• though pay is negotiable beyond this for licensed or very experienced candidates
• based on previous experience and mastery of technical skills and core nurse responsibilities.

You can quickly move up as you demonstrate mastery of those skills and responsibilities. Our benefits are worth multiple more dollars per hour, should you take advantage of them.
