Are you looking for an opportunity to get employment in a veterinary clinic, but do not have prior work experience? Are you thinking about vet school and need applicable experience for your college application? If so, then this is the position for you! Our clinic is seeking a friendly and motivated kennel assistant who is a self-starter to join our amazing team. The applicant must be detail-oriented and driven and be able to work in both a team setting and independently. We are an AAHA accredited clinic, which practices high quality team-based care while providing exceptional client service. LFPC was opened in 2017 and is locally owned and operated. Our clinic focuses on providing both excellent veterinary care and client service. We focus on team-based care and a strong team culture. We value our employees and believe they are essential to achieving these goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Cleaning kennels Laundry Cleaning and maintaining hospital premises Basic stocking and inventory assistance Assisting Doctors and Technicians as needed Caring for dogs and cats Provide safe and effective handling and restraint Clear communication with doctors and support staff
Requirements:
Be able to work in a professional and positive manner with attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner. Must be an effective communicator among team members and contribute to a harmonious workplace Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 pounds unassisted. Endure sitting, standing, and walking on hard floor surfaces for extended period Schedule Clinic is open 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday; and 8am to 1pm Saturdays Full-time schedule currently available. Open to considering part-time availability. Shift schedule will change quarterly Practice Highlights No Extended Hours Modern Facility with many windows and a team break room New Equipment Dedicated Dental & Surgical Suites We're excited to share that Lakeville Family Pet Clinic will be moving into a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in October 2026! This thoughtfully designed space will enhance our ability to provide high-quality care, support our growing team, and create an even better experience for our clients and patients.
