• Job Description:

• As a Veterinary Assistant at Maple Grove Pet Hospital, you will play a vital role in supporting the veterinary team and ensuring the well-being of our patients.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with animal care, handling laboratory tasks, and providing assistance during medical procedures. You will also have some customer service responsibilites at times, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, etc.

• Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in patient care.
• Handle and restrain animals during examinations and treatments.
• Perform basic laboratory procedures and assist with diagnostic tests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in treatment and surgery areas.
• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Monitor and report changes in animal behavior and health.
• Provide support in maintaining accurate medical records.

• Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant is a plus.
• Passion for working with animals and providing compassionate care.
• Ability to handle animals with care and follow safety protocols.
• Basic understanding of veterinary medical terminology.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
