All West Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced mixed animal Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support exceptional experiences for our clients and patients across all aspects of hospital care. This unique role will provide the opportunity to work with equine patients during the summer months and small-animal patients during the winter , offering valuable experience across both areas of veterinary medicine. We are seeking a dependable, motivated candidate who is enthusiastic about working with both equine and small-animal patients and is comfortable transitioning between the two areas of veterinary medicine throughout the year. In this position, you will take an active role in: Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows Providing safe, gentle patient handling and restraint for both equine and small animal during outpatient and procedural care Preparing patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments and procedures Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately Building positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces Schedule and compensation:

$ 19 - $22 per hour, for each hour worked This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday . Voluntary weekend coverage available for hospitalized equine patients. Farm calls are a possibility in the future for equine patients.
