You will regularly work with Advanced 3D Imaging and utilize robust Advanced Anesthesia Support protocols tailored for complex oral surgery cases. While our specialization is dentistry, we are also equipped to handle Pet Wellness, general Surgery, and Emergency Care, providing a well-rounded medical perspective. Our focus is always on delivering comprehensive, high-standard care that promotes the highest ethical standards. We operate specifically from our Hillsborough Road location, integrating you into a supportive and well-established local environment where specialized medicine is valued. Your Impact as a Veterinary Assistant Assist DVMs and credentialed veterinary technicians with appointments, prepping patients for surgery and minor procedures, surgical assisting, and pro-actively set up for any procedures or diagnostic tests Restrain animals in a safe, efficient, and caring manner Obtain accurate vitals, obtain medical histories, and/or note any changes of patient's condition to DVM Collect and prepare laboratory samples Care and maintenance of all medical equipment including laboratory machines, surgical packs, anesthesia machines, and any other tools that are essential to daily operations High quality client communication on patient updates and questions What You'll Bring to the Team High School diploma or GED certificate Flexible schedule including some weekend and holiday shifts Knowledge of medical procedures and animal handling Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment and be able to manage stressful situations, and work with others on a team respectfully Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds How You're Supported As part of the Mission Pet Health family, you get the stability of a local practice backed by the comprehensive benefits and resources of a larger network.
