Veterinary Assistant / Technician

We are currently hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our team. This role is essential to the daily operations of the hospital and is ideal for someone who enjoys a collaborative environment, wants to build their skills, and takes pride in being a reliable part of the team. What You'll Do Veterinary Assistants and Technicians at Heartwood support every part of the patient visit, from intake to discharge.

This includes:

Assisting veterinarians with appointments, diagnostics, and treatments Taking detailed medical histories Placing catheters and performing blood draws Administering vaccines and medications Performing dental cleanings and monitoring anesthesia Preparing for and recovering surgical patients Communicating care plans to clients Providing basic patient care, feeding, and monitoring Maintaining clean and stocked exam rooms and workspaces All team members are cross-trained and regularly assist in multiple departments. We work together closely and support one another throughout the day. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is reliable, motivated, and committed to providing excellent care. While experience is preferred, we are open to training candidates who bring the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
