Veterinary Assistant Duties include (but not limited to): Provide assistance to veterinarians and staff by providing patient restraint during procedures and examinations. Feeding and caring for hospitalized/boarded patients. Clean and exercise hospitalized/boarded patients. Must be able to handle strong pet odors, bodily fluids, and loud noises. Must have a willingness to develop skills to work with fractious feline and canine pets. Maintain hospital and surgical room in preparation for procedures. Prepare instruments and medications as directed by the veterinary personnel. Adhere to hospital safety and wellness regulations. Ability to lift patients (with assistance) up to 75 pounds. Flexibility for scheduling is preferred. Bilingual communication preferred, but not required. Pet Care Coordinator/Receptionist Duties include (but not limited to): Welcome pet owners and patients in a friendly, professional manner. Ability to answer phone calls, take and deliver messages to medical staff. Schedule various routine and surgical appointments. Keep patient files organized. Maintain a clean and safe lobby and overall work environment. Bilingual communication preferred, but not required.
