Responsibilities Assist veterinary technicians and veterinarians with animal restraint, handling, and husbandry to ensure safety and comfort during examinations and procedures Prepare animals for surgery by assisting with anesthesia monitoring, IV insertion, catheterization, and aseptic techniques Support clinical procedures including medication administration, laboratory sample collection, and record keeping with accuracy and attention to detail Maintain cleanliness of the clinic by performing thorough cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation of kennels, treatment areas, surgical suites, and equipment Provide pet care services such as feeding, bathing, exercising, and monitoring behavior to promote animal welfare Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up needs to foster trust and understanding Support front desk duties including appointment scheduling, client check-in/out processes, and managing veterinary records Requirements Prior kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience is highly preferred Demonstrated animal handling skills with dogs, cats, or equine species; experience with equine is a plus Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and animal behavior to assist effectively in clinical settings Experience with laboratory procedures such as sample collection or laboratory testing is advantageous Ability to perform technical tasks including IV insertion, catheterization, medication administration, and aseptic techniques accurately Strong communication skills for interacting with clients professionally and compassionately Commitment to animal welfare through diligent record keeping and adherence to safety protocols including personal protective equipment (PPE) use Willingness to learn new skills related to surgery support, critical care procedures, and advanced animal husbandry This role offers an exciting opportunity for passionate individuals eager to develop their expertise in veterinary medicine while making a meaningful difference in animals' lives. Pay:
