Job Description:
Primary duties of the faculty member are teaching assigned courses offered by the Veterinary Science Technology Department as part of the A.A.S. and B.S. degree programs. Teaching responsibilities may include traditional classroom lecture, laboratory instruction that may involve live animal handling and clinical skills (e.g., small animals, farm animals, and rodents), and online coursework. Additional duties may include veterinary care for college and visiting animals, student advisement, curriculum development, student retention and enrollment initiatives, and participation in department and college functions and committee work. This is a full-time tenure track position with an academic year obligation (10 months) beginning September 1, 2026.

Hold a
LVT/RVT/CVT
credential Must be LVT eligible with the ability to be licensed to practice Veterinary Technology in the State of New York within 6 months of employment Bachelor's Degree required. Candidate must commit to complete a Master degree program within 5 years of employment Minimum 3 years professional/clinical experience Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong attention to detail; and strong computer skills Enthusiasm and aptitude for teaching undergraduate veterinary technology students and preparing them for VTNE certification and entry into professional practice
Preferred Qualifications:
ALAT, LAT, or LATG certification in lab animal technology Master's Degree or higher in related field College-level teaching and assessment experience Knowledge and use of learning management systems Knowledge and experience with IACUC and AALAS Knowledge and experience with large animals

Salary:
$50,063.00• This is a 10-month academic year, tenure track position •Rate is subject to change based on release of new salary schedules
